How I always knew Bob Dylan was a ‘Little Boy Drummer’ fan

Years ago as I awaited my Santa Clause delivery in earnest, I often wondered if Dylan like me was a closet ‘Little Drummer Boy’ fan. Much of Dylan’s music was probably inspired by that song. Why? Because Little drummer boy had the hallmarks of a great Dylan Christmas track if there ever was one. Then low and behold Dylan releases his own exquisite Drummer Boy rendition on the XMAS album. Strangely enough most of this dribble was overlooked by his biographers.

I’ve always loved that carol,  but ‘Holy Night’ is my favourite carol particularly this version by Tenor David Hobson who should do more hard core drugs like Aled Jones who had the audacity of appearing at different ages in his video. He´s whacked or he could be a VERY proud Christian singer.
On a serious note, both are great versions of arguably one of the most difficult Christmas songs to sing which I’m surprised Dylan didn’t tackle on his album given his vocal prowess. Hehe. David and Aled are of course due praise in their own right as great musical artists:

David Hobson Holy Night –

Aled Jones – Holy Night –
